    Prick or Treat!

Date: Oct 9, 2010 (Awaiting approval, but most probable)

Location: Norfolk County Agricultural High School
    400 Main St.
    Walpole, MA 02081

Hotel TBA: We would like to use the same Holiday Inn we used last year, but they changed their policy on animals (what a surprise that was last year). I will call and see if we can work it out.

Events: Conformation Show, Junior Handling, Hedgehog Games, Petting Zoo, Kids Crafts

We are looking for individual and breeder sponsors. See Prices

Stay tuned for more info and Hedgehog Fest will be updated shortly.

I have a question... I would love to come to Prick or Treat, but MA is too far away...

I live in Colorado. Does anyone know of any hedgie shows that take place in the western states?

    Thanks

Yay, it was so much fun last year. I will be sure to write it on the calendar and I hope to have one of my neices show Pyjama for me

Maybe I can even train him up to use one of the balls so he can play the games. He was so funny with the games, just sitting on his butt looking at me like I was crazy haha.
And I still have his pretty ribbons on the wall in the living room  it\'s kind of a funny talking point when people think they are horse related at first, then see the witchhog haha.

If I show Pyjama in the regular classes, can my neice show him in the junior handler classes? I have two neices, if they like can they share him in the junior handler or am I double dipping him?

I am very excited to attend this year. I asked for those days off so keep your fingers crossed. I just now have to decide which one to bring, I guess it depends on the events.

HedgehogFest IS awesome! I\'m gonna try to be there as well -
I can answer about the jr. handler - at least in part - yep! She can use him in that class, though I don\'t know about both of your neices using him at the same time - that could be tricky. Best let Kelly answer that part.

Yes and yes. In Jr. Handler, the child is being judged (not the hedgehog) so 2 kids can show the same hedgie.

Heads up on the Jr. class: We are coming up with a new points system this year. It will be based on the way Val judged last year. The child will get points for handing the hedgehog to the judge (and taking it back) and answering some basic hedgehog questions. For the little kids the questions will be really simple and a little harder for older kids. It will all be very basic info.

    Dear Stasi,

Having the IQ of a 10 yr old does not qualify you for the Jr. class. Sorry, you will have to play with the big kids.
