    Mmmm, my little guy LOVES watermelon! He goes crazy for it and in the summer as Ann said melon is a great treat

    so for treats as long as it isnt too hard sticky chewy salty and healthy you cen use it??

    Basically, yes. I go by the toddler rule with treats. If you would offer it to a small child, you can consider it for a hedgehog. Avoid cow milk, but small amounts of yogurt or cheese seems to be fine. Be careful with onions and chocolate, we don't KNOW that they are bad for hedgehogs, but we tend to shy away from them due to their toxicity towards dogs.

    Also, we now do know that hedgies are lactose intolerant, no milk or cheese. A TINY amount of PLAIN or FRUIT yogurt is okay though.
