You can tie-wrap strips of plastic (cut up folders or something similar that is washable) so they cannot get a first step up to climb the bars if the climbing makes you nervous.
Hi, my hedgehog, peppy loves to climb the bars in her cage and sometimes goes to the very top! Im realy worried incase she falls and hurts herself. Ive heard of people doing something to the wire to stop them climbing but not sure what. Is there anything i can do without buying a new cage?

thanks, normally i dont mind her climbing because she can normally manage to climb back down but hopefully she will be having babies soon and i dont want her falling when she's pregnant.
