    Symptoms of ringworm in hedgehogs

Can someone please tell me the symptoms or stages a hedgehog in ringworm goes through? I'm having a hard time identifying it.
I’m new at the whole hedgehog thing so I tend to fret and have lots of questions. I really adore my rescue hedgehog, Martin <3 In fact, I tend to refer to him as Prince Martin. :^)

My vet told me that the most easy way to reconize ringworm is on the owners hands. They are infectious

Oh how so on the owners hands? Sometimes after I hold him if a quill breaks the skin my hands get redish and itchy for a bit.

My hands gets itchy to. So that is not the problem. As far as I understod there schould come small spots or rings on your hands.
But I am only repeating what my vet told me.

Hmm I got little tiny white spots where the quills broke the skin.

Yes-it can be normal to get small dots where the quills poke you. Soren is right.

From what I understand, ringworm is a red rash shaped like a ring in people.

Okay well after having been sleeping in the same bed he explores and leaves dandruff in every night I think we're safe then. Thanks so much!
