Grumpy Hedgie

this is my hedgehog jasper. hes not very friendly all the time, and i dont know what to do about it. i hold him and give him mealies but it doesnt seem to make him very happy. when i bring him outside and put him on the grass be puts his spikes away and plays around but if i move my hand near him or move at all then he rolls into a ball.
i dont really know what to do to get him to like me because iv had him for about a month and he hasnt gotten much better.
should i just leave him or should i try some more things? i really neew help.

Just keep doing what you are doing Some little critters just take little more time to adjust and trust us. Spending time in the evenings with the lights and noise levels low is a good start seeing as hedgies are nocturnal, it might make him a little more curious than out in the open during the day in the yard.
