Exclamation Hand Raising hedgehog help! Not pooping as she should?

    Hi,
My hedgehog gave birth on 8/7/12 to 5 babies. She was not a great mom and killed some and abandoned the rest. 4/5 died within the hour.
I had to step in and take the 5th one out so she wouldn't die like the rest.
I have been hand feeding her KMR and she is developing great and all. I have researched how to hand raise a baby so I know a lot already but I need help with something now.
After I feed her it takes her a very long time to poop and when she does it is very very small and a highlighter green color.
Her belly looks a little bloated/swollen.
I have rubbed it down after feeding her and tried the thing with the wet q-top and all but that doesn't seem to help much. I really don't want to lose her. She is like a child to me now. I am very attached already. Her name is Adrina

Is there any way I can get her to poop? Is there any type of laxative that is safe for hedgehog babies to have?
I really would appreciate any type of help.

Yup, that's about the size (and color of it). Bloat is your nemesis, and it is really really hard to avoid. You should be able to find some sort of anti-bloat liquid at the pet store to mix with the food. Even with that it's a terrible battle. Stimulating takes forever, and by the time you are done it is almost time for the next meal.

There was another anti-bloat herbal that we used that was ordered of the net. It was some herbal, but I forget what it was.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
I read on a great site that you can give them a drop of infant simethicone gas relief and it should help.
So I did and waiting to see what happens.
She is a VERY active baby and is always on the move. She is developing great
So I guess thats a good thing.
